That's why it is assuned that it is ancient tech.

In the season 10 spoilers Adria says that staff weapons were originally ancient, i dont know about zats but...it stands to reason.
I can't actually remember when they say it but the ring transports are ancient and yeh as mentioned above the sarcophagus was based on the ancient fountain of youth thing.

the rings are ancient coz there are some rings in the antarctic outpost, and no gould went there so it has to be ancient tech. The ori use rings aswell and the ancients and the ori were related

Zat's / Staff wep's are made around Ancient tech as same with alot of there tech ships etc but with a different design
