Team Flyboy (thunking, shipping, discussion) - Lorne/Mitchell/Sheppard/O'Neill
It's 10 pm and I'm in no mood to write, especially not romance. I feel a good torture scene coming up if I could just get the energy to lift my head.
Spoiler:
You could always do what this guy did. I read about it a long time ago. The kids wouldn't do their chores without a situation such as you described above. So-o, the dad stopped cleaning up after them (mom died a few years before), stopped cooking for them, stopped doing the dishes, washing their clothes, buying groceries for anyone but himself. He wouldn't take them to the mall, to school, to their friends' houses. He just let them work it out for themselves that if they didn't pull their own share of the weight, then that was their tough luck. When dad did cook, he would only make enough for himself and the youngest (under age 10). Only washed his and the youngest's clothes, washed their dishes, etc. When the teens started running out of food, clean clothes, yadda, yadda, they finally got the idea and started cleaning and cooking and...ad nauseum.
Ah, well, off to bed. Another long day of sitting around, drinking wine and eating bon-bons while I wait for the menfolk to get home so I can yell at them awaits. Night, all!
Spoiler:
Like that idea, FG. Kinda like those "moms on strike" movies you see out there once in awhile. I just need to take another solo vacation, though. Last time I was gone for three weeks to help my folks when Dad had his hip surgery, I came home to a most grateful hubby and a clean(ish) house.
