A laptop for her birthday, how exciting ~lg. It would be fun to get it all set up with the fun websites and gimp and such.

Thanks Bay ... still loading in things like fonts etc - no idea what I'm missing (I guess I'll find out when I can't find something!). This is when I regret downloading so many fonts - Win7 doesn't seem to have a bulk install of fonts like I had on the old machine - have to load each one separately.

I think when I switched computers I copied my Gimp font folder and my Gimp brushes folder over to my new laptop (which was Win 7). So I didn't lose any of my downloaded fonts, just those that came preinstalled on Windows XP.

Ahhh - that could work. I did copy some folders across but maybe not the right ones ... will have to give the old computer another spin to see what I have Thanks

*grins* That is the worst... having to turn on the old computer when you have a new one. Just when you think you're done with it too!
