I actually started in the winter [not a new years resolution] but then we had too much ice and snow and I had to stop. The 5K is for a daughter of a fallen soldier that me and hubby knew, so it's a mix of running for health reasons and for a good cause. And because I like to inflict pain on myself I guess

Yes. the 5K was just a way to get started. Like I need one more thing eating up my time but I guess health is important....

It is important. Hubby started running about a week ago. My sister talked him into giving it a go. He keeps badgering me to run with him, but so far I've found a way to say no and have him accept that.
