I got bit by the shippy-fic bug last night and popped out this.

Title: I Hope You Dance
Rating: K-K+
Pairings: John/Teyla, Ronon/Keller
Characters: John, Teyla, Ronon, Jennifer
Summary: And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance: I hope you dance. Teyla has that choice. What does she pick?

Teyla found herself sitting on the sidelines at a harvest dance on the planet they had visited. They had been invited almost the second the villagers had seen they meant no ill will.

John was dancing with several of the village girls. Teyla looked on with, what? Jealousy? Suddenly a song she and Elizabeth had listened to cam back to her.

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance: I hope you dance.

Gathering her courage, Teyla stood up and started over towards John. Twice, she’d stopped and almost turned back, but she finally made it. “John, may I have a dance?” John’s face broke into a grin.

“Of course, Teyla. Ladies, go find someone your own age.” Several cries of protest came from the girls. “Hush. I’m too old for you anyway.” The girls left, still protesting, and Teyla stepped closer. John captured her hands as they started to sway in time with the music.

Soon, the song changed, and Teyla tried to step away. “Keep dancing. It’s nice.” John pulled her back and started dancing again. This song was faster, and John held her closer now. Her back against his torso and her head on his chest.

Teyla took a deep breath and found he smelled like sweat and cinnamon. To Teyla, it was intoxicating. Teyla felt her knees go weak.

Again, the song changed. This time it was slow and again Teyla went to pull away. This time, John didn’t capture her hands. He caught her lips in a kiss that almost made her swoon. When they broke apart, John was trying to say something, but his mouth stopped working. His eyes said what his mouth couldn’t, though. I love you, Teyla.

“I love you, John.” Was all that came out before another mind-blowing kiss.

*ÅTLÅNTIS*

Ronon watched as John kissed and tried to tell Teyla how he felt. Ronon smirked and pulled his love closer. Jennifer looked up at him. “I’m not going to disappear, you know. You can leave me alone for five minutes.”

“I now, but I’m not taking any chances.” And kissed her.

The guy might as well just admit he only has eyes for one woman anyway...
