Snicker! I remember thinking when I first saw Sateda that those shorts had little smiley faces on them (viewed on non-hd-tv, with over 40 yr old eyes). I understand that they have now been definitively identified as sliced kiwi or some such. It would have to be non-citrus, of course. Just gotta love those costume department folks!

I'm surprised the kiwi shorts don't seem to have reached the same level of fan-naticism in fic as the orange fleece - think what Rodney could accomplish whilst wearing them both! (and nothing else!)

There's a Youtube video that David filmed for the video contest last year and he's dressed as Ronon, complete with wig... he has everything on but Ronon's pants. "He wouldn't give the pants." You can see the kiwi boxers under the chaps? that he's wear ing on his legs! HE must have shot that video during filming of Sateda, that scene on the Daedalus.
