Parts of it are fun to watch, but... did the character absolutely *have* to be British?

Really seemed unnecessary to me. Just because it was supposed to be taking place in Britain, it would have been just fine. Especially considering the difficulties she had in achieving a decent accent.

The stories I'm talking about were left for dead while Elizabeth was still on the show!

This is why I consider it a plus that I didn't get into SGA until last year. I've gone through plenty of stories on FF.net that sounded really, really good but weren't updated for 5 or 6 years. And I know plenty of readers were expecting an update but never got one. Since I never read them I'm left wonder how the story would have ended.

I came to discover it through various areas, ff.net being the first way, then I came to it via youtube.

Some of us here followed this fic religiously and posted a link each time it was updated, so it's a thread fave.

There are tons of good fics over at Command Dynamics with several ways to search. There are some duds on there too, so you just have to try one and see if you like it. Anything by Shane Vansen, Oparu or Irony_Rocks are good bets, as are many others. Search under "Series" for a look at AUs.

I highly recommend this one: A Matter of Time by irony_rocks. It's a good Elizabeth-centric / Sparky one.

It's a story idea. It'll be a revamp of an old JAG/NCIS AU fic of mine. I have a lot of rewriting to do to make it worthy for posting as a Stargate fic. Sam/Jack will also be a couple. Sam is a vampire, Jack is a werewolf.

Elizabeth is going to be a vampire, John is going to be a werewolf.



I don't think there's enough Supernatural genre stories on ff.net for either SGA or SG1.

The only one like that that I've ever read is this one. It's been a really long time since I read it, but I seem to remember it being pretty decent.

Mmmm, good vibes. Okay, here we go. I looooove Light in the Dark. That is a fantastic story and sometimes, when I feel I need a pick-me-up I read the last couple of chapters of that. It is just such a wonderful story and again, a much better way for season 4 to go that it actually did. I also really like Just an Old Tree Swing.

So, if you are planning to write some Stargate Fic I will be really eager to read it!

Good morning, everybody! We've been having some interesting weather here in Florida for the past couple of days -- tornadoes, waterspouts, freak lightening storms, you name it. One bolt of lightening took out the cable in our neighborhood this morning. It should be fixed in a few hours, though.

I just went back and re-read this the other day. Knowing that hindsight is 20/20, I could've written sit so much better.

And one more I wanna self rec: "Jocks, Geeks, and Dorms". One shot AU in college. Slightly cracky. LOL

I really like Jocks, Geeks and Dorms. I was a little sad that it was only a one-shot. I would have loved a whole story based around that premise.

But you have done some really good ones. A lot of the people on this thread have actually. It's nice to know I am in such good company.
