Don't be sorry. As FH mentioned, fandom doesn't happen inside a vacuum. What happened was terrible. It's natural to feel shaken up and to want to talk to about it. I'm glad you and your loved ones are okay.

Poundpuppy lives closer to Boston than I currently do. It was very close to the college I went to. In fact, a friend of mine has a daughter currently at that college and she heard the explosions from her dorm room.




Yeah, only time will tell what the motive is. We all got excited when CNN said they had arrested someone. Stupid CNN.




I truly hope we never become desensitized like that. Thanks for sharing that.

Where else can you share your sorrows than here among friends? And turn off CNN. I haven't watched the news very much all year and am better off for it. Though if the Washington Post continues to piss me off, I might have to also stop reading the paper. Remembering my conversation with Joe about that still makes me giggle though.

Yeah, that's why I've been MIA. None of my friends or family were involved, but it just hits harder with it being so close to home. And I'm very familiar with that part of Boston. Just a bit shocked is all. We don't think of Boston as the kind of place that would be attacked. We all tend to think that would happen in NY or DC, not Boston.

Yeah, CNN has really gone down the drain. Honestly, it's like they've given up. Then you've got FoxNews and MSNBC.......... yeah, I'll just leave it at that.
