Elizabeth Weir/John Sheppard Appreciation/Ship/Discussion Thread

Yeah that bugged me too. I get that there are only so many actors who'll do sci fi, but I hate it when they re-use actors like that. At least use an actor that wasn't given a fairly large, memorable role the first time around....
Let's back up to the end of Season 1. At the end of The Brotherhood, Atlantis picks up the Wraith hive ships on the long range sensors; the ships will arrive in two weeks. Letters From Pegasus takes place a few days later, while The Gift takes place less than one week before the Wraith ships' estimated arrival. The events of The Siege Parts 1-3 take place over the next week. The flashback scenes in The Intruder imply that Weir, Sheppard, Beckett, and McKay return to Earth through the gate shortly afterward, making it a little over two weeks from the time that the messages were sent back to Earth to the time when The Siege ended and the command staff went back to Earth. Elizabeth probably contacted Simon as soon as she could after her arrival (I would expect within a day). Somehow, I doubt very much that Simon found his 'someone else' and got into a serious relationship with her in that short of a time; more likely, he met the other woman well before Letters From Pegasus.
Sheppard didn't get promoted to Lieutenant Colonel until about a month after the events of The Siege three-parter, so they were all on Earth for at least that long, probably a little longer. So basically, Elizabeth's shocked because Simon was cheating on her and then held out on telling her for over a month, only spilling his guts at the last minute as the deadline for the Daedalus's departure was coming up on them. The jerk.
In other words, as my grandma would say *best Tennessee accent* "HE DONE HER WROOOOOOOOOOOOOONG!"

Yeah, I saw that dude and I thought, "Wow, I wonder of he's gonna get blown up in SGA too."

He was a memorable millie. (aka: wimp, sissy, etc). And creepy. Having Sam's voice as his home computer voice, please. I dig Stacy London, but I don't have her saying "Shut Up" every time I reach in my closet.
"I only understand about 1% of what she says half of the time."

I guess they couldn't afford to import more actors from the US.

His hair was creepy all by itself.

Sparky is on screen. Therefore, it is canon.Elizabeth is still out there. And John WILL bring her home.

Let's not mention nobody liked him first time around.
I've read this multiple times...I love it! Perfect combination of humor and smut!
I watched Trinity last night...and wow poor Rodney...not that he didn't have that coming!
As you go forward you will see that Trinity is one of those rare eps that actually has continuity. The trust issue comes up several times later. That was a very good John/Rodney moment. And John looked extremely hot in this one.
Don't forget the commentaries. The Conversion one is worth it for the Joe/David banter.
