Teyla was useful for a change and Radek with the pipe was just love. So all in all...an okay team ep. Of course it would have been a thousand times better with Elizabeth in Sam's place.
Yeah, the overall story was kinda silly in spots, but the details were just hysterical. And yes, Elizabeth totally needed to be there. Damn, can you just imagine the Sparky magic in a scene with an amnesiac John and Elizabeth? *swoons*

Sparky is on screen. Therefore, it is canon. Elizabeth is still out there. And John WILL bring her home.

Caught You, by agent_almeida. Lizzie catches John watching porn. And then the wild monkey smut sparks fly!

      Happy Sparky reading!

Yeah, the details in Tabula Rasa were pretty good. I loved the part with Lorne and the polaroid of John that says 'this is your commanding officer, listen to him!' That was my favorite part that I can remember.
I actually consider Tabula Rasa one of the better S4 eps, and that's just from the one time I saw it. Need to watch it again actually.
And John and Lizzie without their memories... *squees at potential*
I can see it: both of them being all confused, but they feel drawn to each other in all the madness and they're talking and trying to figure out what's going on, and John gets really protective of her and he doesn't know why, and she trusts him and she doesn't know why, and there's a whole bunch of 'John: 'ummm... do you think we're, you know...' Liz: *raises eyebrow* 'together?' ' goodness.

Hah! I totally cracked up at the bit with Lorne and the polaroid, that was priceless! And seeing Lorne going all nutzoid was kinda fun.

Yeah. I commented that I would never be able to watch Bones again without thinking of this fic.

            The possibilities are veeeerrryyy interesting.

And I was thinking about the last scene in Inquisition that somebody mentioned earlier. What if John and Elizabeth and Woolsey had all 3 been there? Woolsey and John with the cigars and scotch and Elizabeth just with the scotch. Well it might go something like this.

            Spoiler:
Woolsey: You know Dr. Weir there is a restaurant in Washington DC that hosts a monthly get together in the summer months on their patio for ladies who like to enjoy a good cigar.

Liz: (takes a small swallow of scotch) Really?

John: (clamps his cigar between his teeth and grins) Ladies with cigars huh? Interesting.

Woolsey: Yes indeed. There are quite a number of ladies who....blahblahblah

John: (removes the cigar and licks his lips)

Liz: (takes a large swallow of scotch)

John: (licks his lips again and drinks some scotch)

            Woolsey: blahblahblah (blows smoke)

John: (tilts his head back and finishes the last of his drink)

Liz: (spills some scotch while not able to tear her eyes away from John's neck)

John: So...ah... Dr. Weir...I believe you had a report to show me...in...ah...your quarters.

            Liz: Indeed.

Woolsey: (blows smoke at the moons)

SR: Great story. I would love to see this end for Inquisition.
SK: I laughed when I read your rec story because tonight there is Bones on the french TV.lol

Mom prefers Porto and not wine. Me, I will drink everything to help me support this episode. I'll be an alcoholic by the end of Season 4.lol
Oh my god, I just had a horrible thought. I hope mom will only watch one episode because the next one is "The Seer". Help me people.....help me.lol
The only episode I really like in the season 4 is Miller's Crossing.

                Erin:Love your idea for TR.

Because you add a scene in every episode of season 4 that I see with mom, Can you find one for Missing?

The Seer could be a lot worse but I haven't seen it lately so.... And this is one of the ones in which Sam is just a copy of Elizabeth.

The best part about Missing was the very first scene. John being all leaderly and teasing Teyla about having a date. Which is part of the reason it doesn't make sense later when he's so shocked that she's pregnant. I mean really, did these writers even talk? There's even precedent for it from the last scene in M&MM when he teases her about the Marine. More of the brother/sister vibe we should have seen more of.

I'd do a missing scene after the ladies left. John goes back to the office and talks to Elizabeth. He tells her he thinks Teyla has a thing with one of the Athosians. And she tells him not to be shocked that they all have the right to find happiness. Some people are just too stubborn to see what's right in front of them. He gets all defensive and flees. But she knows she has touched a nerve.

                    I survived. I watched Missing and I'm still here.lol
Mom doesn't like it. She thought that Athosians had disappeared a long time ago. She doesn't like them. Mom found Keller pretty good here but still have a problem with Teyla (she can't understand this character). But she likes Rachel and found her very good as actress. She was happy to learn that Teyla has a boyfriend and John has not problem with that. She guessed that Teyla was pregnant since 2 episodes. Like mom said "Big belly and a lot of clothes on her...she's pregnant".lol
The only thing I really like in it is when Teyla fights.
I'm happy because we won't watch "The Seer" today. Youpi!!!!!

I would love to see an episode like this between Elizabeth and Teyla. Not really like this because Weir isn't like Keller. More strong maybe.

Definitely more strong. And wouldn't it have been great to see John's face, or Ronon's and Rodney's for that matter, when they found out Elizabeth ate the ground squid. LOL Ronon would have been very impressed.

Was he shocked about Teyla's pregnancy or about the fact that she didn't tell him she was pregnant while on the team? I remember the argument scene, but I got the impression he was so angry because she didn't tell him about her being pregnant, which endangered her and the baby. Obviously wrapped into that would be the emotions about a team member and a friend having a baby, but generally John was upset that she had taken such a risk.

I wonder how Elizabeth would have reacted? We got some of the 'that's great' from Franibeth in GITM, but I wonder how Elizabeth would have handled the news early on in the pregnancy. Would she have taken John's side and wanted to protect Teyla, even if Teyla felt she could handle it, or would she have allowed Teyla to make the judgment calls, even if John disagreed?

That would have been fun to see.

And did Sam ever make that call? I don't recall her having much to say about Teyla's pregnancy in the episodes I saw...

I think there were a number of people who actually wrote that after Missing (a lot of people thought it would have been a great episode if Elizabeth had been in the role of Keller).

I don't have fic recs, but maybe some of the other writers do...

First time I watched BAMSR, I thought he was angry because she didn't tell him before.
For the ship aspect: I saw nothing. John doesn't know Teyla apparently. He didn't know that she had a "someone". He didn't ask her who he's the father. He seems not really interested by this aspect of her pregnancy. He wants to protect her and feel hurt when she didn't say she was pregnant.

For the fic rec: Maybe SK will find one. No pressure.lol

I like Outcast too. I think it's one of my faves after Vegas and GitM.

It was never made clear why John was so angry. I think the side you took depends on how you view pregnant women in dangerous situations and obviously, your ship preference.

I think he was angry that she hadn't told him earlier because he had been putting her in danger out of ignorance. He would have reacted the same way if it had been any woman in his command. Or for that matter suppose Ronon had been having appendicitis pain but had kept it a secret so long that it burst on a mission and endangered them all? John would have been furious at him.

I think Elizabeth would have seen both sides and would have tried to get the two of them to find common ground. I can see both John and Teyla telling her all the things they wanted to say to each other but couldn't, especially John. Then she would have forced them to sit down and talk about it calmly. It might have saved a lot of time. And we wouldn't have to have heard the same conversation between John and Teyla for all of S4 ad nauseam.

Obviously he didn't know her at all, unlike Ronon. But we better not go there. And I guess the writers agreed with us because the ship never went anywhere.
