    Hello, I’ve missed you all and have been catching up. Hope everyone is well! Yay for camping and raises! Boo for show runners who betray our trust.

    Im digging out of the rubble of serious burnout and overwhelm. Got child through high school graduation- check! We are in NYC now for her graduation trip. I said we could go anywhere and she chose to return to her favorite. I was hoping she’d pick something new, but I have been eating well though. Back to reality Tuesday to finish the most massive project I’ve ever taken on, the culmination of the past eight months of burnout inducing work. And then- fingers crossed- I get my life back.

        Wow! Congrats on the kidlet's graduation and have fun on the trip! Good luck with the project, though it sounds rough, it also sounds like one of those things you'll look back on with tremendous pride in the accomplishment. ​

                Hello, I've been MIA for a bit, trying not to melt in our heatwave which has been on a few days break before hitting it off again come the weekend. We bought our cats a cooling mat but errm... sharing is caring so each gets a corner. Works great against a headache too.

                Also, you're looking at the, as of today, Senior Digital Automation Engineer / back-up to the new Tech Lead.
                Yeah, they couldn't give me a raise legally unless they changed my title and gave me a few extra responsibilities. Other than training junior colleagues and teaching clients how to maintain their robots, there isn't that much of a difference with a Junior. Except for the back-up for the Tech Lead that is.

                              I have a kidney stone. It's not a good feeling. My own fault, though, for not taking my vitamin D as regularly as I should.
