Anti McKay/Keller thread Spoilers misgivings and complaints only
Rodney realizes that the person he said I love you to was actually "John" because he was halucinating when the Parasite was running amuck in his head and he thought it was John recording the video.
One day he was talking to John and told him that He was sad that John didn't watch the video and his confession and John was like "You mean the one you said to Keller?" and Rodney is like "No, dummy the confession I made to you!"
" I thought you didn't feel that way about me and I asked Keller out!" Rodney said.
Johns Like "No Rodney you said that to Keller..not me! If you had said that to me I would have been Happy and all over you!" "you love me?" John asks.
"Yes!!!" Rodney Rolls his eyes "it's a good thing we were going slow and Keller and Never slept together, cause this will make breaking up with her easy." Rodney smiles at John. "I will be right back, don't move"
10 minuets later..."Seeing as we are no longer stupid! Let's start over! Rodney walks over to John.
Well, this thread will be closed soon. But maybe we have time to give our final summaries as to why this ship should not exist, in any shape or form, in any reality, AU or not. I guess it might be nice to read if someone stumbles across the thread in the mothballs of wherever boxed threads go.
Well lets see.
1. NO CHEMISTRY (yeah that's a biggie)
2. Keller shouldn't be dating patients (it's unethical)
3. There was so much emphasis on McKay/Keller that they pretty much forgot about Teyla, Ronon and yes even John (who the last time I checked was supposed to be the lead actor)
4. McKay was more like the wierd uncle and Keller the innocent school girl (squicky anyone )
5. Their so called romantic scenes were very awkward and uncomfortable looking, not only to me but it also looked like that for the two involved, like they'd rather be doing anything else than these romantic scenes, If they don't believe it then how are we supposed to believe it.
6. They are both whiners so together they are unbearable.
That's all I got for now, my brain still ain't working right
1. The romantic relationship changed the character of McKay--for the worse. I hated how in the Last Man it was the death of his sudden true love that pushed him over the edge into fixing things, not the disappearance of his long-time friend Sheppard. I was fine with McKay and Katie Brown; she seemed to bring out a calmer side to his personality, so I could see it as a match, and it was never in the forefront. But in Quarentine the writers had McKay regress to...well, I don't think I've ever seen him so obnoxious and annoying (and I like McKay), and it was done to free him for Keller.
2. The romantic relationship changed the character of Keller--for the worse. I had issues with Keller, but I was fairly neutral about her before the shipping started, and that's when I essentially gave up. She was turned into the focus for a love triangle, and then ultimately for this disasterous ship. They were writing her as a romantic fantasy, instead of the professional she should have been. Seriously, the writers thought this was a good way to endear a character to the fans?
3. McKeller took far too much screentime. An entire episode? Really? In the last season of the show, there really weren't more exciting stories to tell? There were, but apparently the writers didn't care about them.
4. McKeller took too much time away from the other characters. The lack of episodes that focused on Sheppard's team was pathetic. And Teyla and Ronon--who are they again? I also hated that Radek's scene was cut from The Shrine--how about cutting the unnecesary and awkward McKeller stuff instead?
5. McKeller is a poorly written ship. No buildup, no believability, damages the characters involved, no chemistry, and is one of the most awkward romances I've seen in my life--probably number one on that list.
6. I'm generally opposed to ship in SGA, except for a couple of the minor ones like McKay/Brown and Carson/Cadman. I could deal with those, since they were not a major focus of the show, and they didn't make me feel sick to my stomach like McKeller. I watched SGA for the friendships, not the romance. I'm not into soap operas.
I'm sure there's more, but those are the glaring points that come to mind first.
I would hope for no McKeller in the movie, but I'm fresh out of hope where this Frankenstein of a romance is concerned.
*pokes her head in*
Mind if I join you? I don't like Keller and I *really* don't like her with Mckay. *gags*
Welcome. Well, until they shut down our thread, before April. There's a mix of people here--McKay fans and Keller fans--but we all despise McKeller. Feel free to vent while you may.

Thank you. I think if we change the name of the thread, we can keep it, so long as it stays a ligit. discussion (unlike the anti-keller thread-spent a LOT of time there!!).

Oh well. Let's make the most of it. After its deleted, I'll start another one with a more "positive" attitude.
Yeah, that's what we were trying to do, write some last summaries of all the problems with McKeller. Down with McKeller! They already started some new threads that we can post on, but I haven't ventured there yet.
