*when I reappear from the Jumper I have a large picnic basket and a beach blanket in my hands, as well as a couple of sheets of paper stapled together*

Dell: I didn't even see this one coming! *she comes and takes the blanket from me, spreading it on the sand outside the Jumper and then I put down the picnic basket and hand Beck the papers I'm holding*

Sorry it's so late, Sis. You know what's been going on lately around here. But happy birthday!! And I wrote you this little story.

Whispers of Love: Nightmare Fright

She sits straight up, sweat coating her face, her breath comes fast and hard, in shallow gasps, tears flood down her cheeks and she is shaking visibly as she sit there in the dark, remembering the dream. Her own hand reaching out, the fear in Carson's blue eyes as her knuckles connect with his mouth, her own voice screaming horrible things at him. Anger bubbles up through the fear and worry. The silent tears turn to wrenching sobs.

He wakes up to the sound of her sobs in the dark and sits up beside her, reaching out to gather her shaking form into his arms. She gasps and sobs into his chest as his fingers gently stroke her reddish blonde hair and he holds her close. Her nightmares have gotten worse since the unfortunate blending with the system lord Skyra, and he wishes that he knew how to help her.

"Ma' Love, I'm 'ere, y're alright. Rest now..." His soothing voice in her ear only makes her sobs come harder this time, as the guilt drowns out the anger for a moment...perhaps it was only a dream after all, but she can't shake the feeling she's hurt him, it's a gut-wrenching guilt, he is the love of her life and she feels as if she has really hurt him.

"I still...feel a-as if I really hu-hurt you..." She squeaks out around her tears, though it is muffled, her face is still buried in his chest and the sobs have not subsided.

Little Sis had woken up in her bedroom when she felt the burst of emotion and slipped silently out of her bed, she is now looking around the edge of the doorway. She catches his eye, he nods gratefully, Little Sis can help her. Little Sis makes her way to the bed, her hands reaching out to touch her middle sister's shoulders. She feels the worry and pain, the guilt and fear, and she hates to see either of her sisters hurting...

"Sis, it will be alright. Reach out to me, try to feel the emotion I am trying to give you," Little Sis sits on the edge of the bed, her only emotions are peace and calmness.

She tries to reach out, she feels Little Sis, the peace and calmness flows through her, settling her fears. Gradually, the tears stop flowing and the sobs slow to sniffles. She looks up at Little Sis, who reaches over and wipes a few tears from her cheeks.

"Rest now, my sister. Sleep in peace tonight and remember that I'm here," Little Sis whispers, gently stroking her sister's hair from her face, watching her drift off in Carson's arms. When she is asleep, Little Sis smiles up at Carson and gets to her feet, silently slipping back out of the room.

He doesn't fall asleep though, he sits holding her close, watching her sleeping face and gently running his fingers through her reddish blonde hair and down her face. His usually sparkling blue eyes are filled with worry for her and the dimple in his cheek accompanies a serious expression on this night, rather than a soul-melting smile.

As she sleeps in his arms, he leans down and kisses her gently, what he doesn't know is that she feels it even though she sleeps soundly. He does see her mouth turn up in a smile as he looks at her again, and he allows his own mouth to turn up in a smile.

"I love you, ma' sleepin' beauty," he whispers to her, kissing her once more. He will stay awake, watch her sleep, make sure that she sleeps in peace. He has always loved to see her sleep, the peaceful expression on her face brings him relief, however rare it may be.

Yes, we will but now yopou could go to your dad

Amaell: aww why can't I go with you?

Because you are still too small dear. even if ou are a vampy-wraith

Amaell: *looks down* ok...when will you be back?

In one hour I guess, just taking a little walk

*the boy walks out and Joey enters the room* are you ready, sister? *looks after Amaell grinning* wouldn't you like to have such a little one on your own?

Joey....

Joey: OK, Ok, then let's go *he takes his sisters hand and thhey both vanish*

*a smile reaches across my face & a tear of happiness rolls down my cheek. I look up at my lil sis*
-Oh, thank you sis! This is just lovely *still holding the papers, I throw my arms around her & pull her into a tight hug* Your the best
Dell: ahem! *clears throat*
*I look back at my other sis* Sorry, you too *I move & hug my big sis too, just because*

*I am grinning (seem to be doing that a lot lately) as I watch my middle sister, I'm glad to see & feel her so happy*

I hear there's a cake in this picnic basket...Carson helped me pack the basket earlier, he said he knew your favorite things to eat, so I trusted him...shall we see what he packed for us? *I point to the basket at my feet*

Dell: Good, I'm hungry
*we open the basket & first see a nice chocolate, bavarian cheese cake*
-Oh, he is right. I love this cake *we continue to pull items out* (describe some Aang, I like lots of things haha) -Oh, apricot nectar juice, my favorite drink at the moment

*walks along path behind Joey, they are in surrounded by trees and the sun is shining dowwn on them, while birds are singing*

Joey: do you really think its good that Aang tries to teach her sister alone?

*looks at him walking, passing by some roots wich scratch her leg a bit, she kicks the away* Stupid stuff - If I think it''s a good idea? It's about as good, as to cut your leg open and then jump into a pool full of sharks....you know

Joey: I do...I wonder if she would still like to do it so much if she know that if she makes only a tiny mistake, her sister won't be able to ever feel anything at all....

Surely not, but I thought you told her? *climbs up some rocks and takes Joey hand to be pulled up them completely*

Joey: I said it would be very dangerous...and that you would not mind if she let's us watch over them

Well, they are out right now doing it, so I guess she did not understand that by saying "very dangerous" and "let us watch over you" you meant don't ever try that....

Joey: I am afraid, yes...but, let her do it and erase her emotions maybe. When it happens Aang may see that if you ask to help them it's not just for fun

*looks at him sadly* I just hope it does not hapen, Aang would feel so guilty and it would be my fault

Joey: really wouldn't be, we told them it's dangerous and if they just ignore the warning, that's not our fault

But.....

Joey: no...don't always feel resposible for them, I know they are dear friends but, if they do not understand that we want them to be well, it's not our fault always if something happens to them

*looks at her brother, who can read on her face how bad she feels about it He gives her a hug and they both walk on in silence*

*I look into the nearly empty basket and pull out one last thing with a note attached to the top in the Carsons' handwriting and burst out laughing*

Oh A-Carson, sneaky bugger! He's trying to get in on the wedding plans by bribing me with chocolate devil's food cake...he does know my weaknesses! *I peel back the plastic to reveal a miniature Devil's food cake* Cheeky bugger wants to know what I'm making him wear...shall I tell him? *My eyes sparkle mischievously as I send A-Carson a thought*

You're wearing your kilt, Love. And thanks for the cake! *I think to him*

*Somewhere in the city, A-Carson bursts out laughing as my thought rockets into his head, he knows I found the bribe and I took it...he has found my biggest weakness*

I think I lie down a bit, I feel so lazy

*Joey smiles at her* Ok dear sleep well* he leaves and colses the door behind him while Poet throws herself on her bed just to relax and rest her hurting leg a bit*
