I hate to be the lone voice of dissent here, but this is bugging me. Jewel wasn't a lead at that point, she was still recurring. That was Teyla's episode. Rachel must feel kinda slighted here.

Whether someone's in the credits or not isn't taken into account. It doesn't go by someone's "official show status." Since Jewel and Rachel were co-lead characters in the single episode "Missing," Jewel's eligible in that category. And her performance was certainly more varied and difficult than Rachel's.

Teyla was just responding to a crisis the same as she's responded to dozens of others. Jennifer was tossed into the fray for the very first time, and responded accordingly: frightened out of her mind before finally getting things together.

I have to agree with KK here. Although I really like Teyla, and I find that Rachel plays her character well, I don't think Missing was that much of a challenge to her, and I definitely don't see it as being Teyla's episode. She mostly had to play the brave (and angry) warrior, whereas Jennifer had to go through a very wide range of emotions. And even though Missing is by no means my favorite episode, I don't think anyone can deny how great a job Jewel did.
