I had to work the last years, since I'm working there. But because this year is a round one I wanted the day off.

I worked this year on my...I could get day off because it was to close to vac.

I think you can also have fun and enjoy your birthday when you are working. As a matter of fact, the both best birthdays I had where both when I had to work. The first time some of my coworkers then did a surprise-day all over the day for me, the second was when I worked at the big fair. And as I don't do anything, no party or something, it's not so important for me. It's only because the round number (and because I'm already at vacation) that I wanted to have the day off.
