Thanks Hyndara and Libero. Her husband was out of the country when the quake and tsunami hit and she hasn't posted whether or not he's made it back to her. I can't imagine dealing with all that stress and being strong for your two young children all on your own. She said the after shocks have finally slowed down, and while where she lives didn't suffer a lot of structural damage, the areas surrounding them did so they're kinda locked in. Only 1 gas station out of 20 is open, so she's really worried about gasoline. And, of course, the radiation. It's just so horrible what's happening.

Reading this I know how blessed I am!
And here in Germany the politicians twaddle and babble about our power plants ...

It's true! The destruction over there really puts things in perspective.

I read some report that many of the workers trying so desperately to cool those reactors have been exposed to lethal amounts of radiation. Heroism in action.
