Starvation is the canonical explanation for the Wraith's weakening regenerative powers over the course of the series, and IIRC in the beginning the Warriors could regenerate as well as any other Wraith. Once they started running out of food, however, the Warriors would probably be even more starved than other Wraith, as higher-ranking Wraith would take priority over the more expendable Warriors.

There is one thing I don't have an explanation for - is it just me, or did the Warriors consistently seem to display less muscle power, despite having more muscle mass? It's been a while since my last rewatch, but I don't recall any Warriors displaying feats of conspicuous super-strength like the faced males and Queens did.

What I dislike even more in some episodes is that the Wraiith act just plain stupid. I mean they are said to be cunning and clever, at least so are the higher ranked ones. But then in the "Outsiders"

The Wraith commnader feeds on Beckett, just as there never had been any threat of death by people infected by Michael's experiments. I mean he should have realized that it was a trick, since Beckett is one of the Atlantis team and sure would not want to be fed on without any purpose that gves him an advantage

That's really frustrating me a bit, that Wraith' abilities are just adjusted to what is needed in the story so often.
