Laura Cadman/Jaime Ray Newman Thunk/Discussion/Appreciation
I've been thinking about this for a while now. Is it just me or does JRN almost always play a character with a mischievous streak?
I don't know about always. Her characters in CSI weren't so much mischievous. All of her characters are engaging. And I think that's all JRN. Maybe she injects some mischief in the characters without it being written like that.

Maybe. For some reason I can always picture Cadman messing with McKay every single chance she got. The chaplin she played on NCIS gave me the same vibe. I got the same feeling from the bits and pieces I saw of her character on CSI: New York. I haven't really seen her in anything else though.
I tell you Teal'c, hockey is the coolest game on Earth!
"Thanks to denial, I'm immortal."
"A big 'Hello' to all intelligent life out there, and for everyone else, the secret is to bang the rocks together, guys!" "Excuse me, barmaid? You seem to have brought me the wrong offspring. I ordered an extra large boy with beefy arms, extra guts and glory on the side. This here, this is a talking fishbone!"
"I'm Jack. It means... what's in the box?"
Oh, I adored Duet! It was the McCadman sparks there that inspired my love for that ship.
On CSI, one of the times Jaime played a victim. Season 3 or 4 I think. Totally engaging character. She was also in one of the later eps. But I had started fading out of the show - in general - so I don't recall the details.
