I don't think ratings are really a judge of the quality of the episode. There was major competition from other networks. Plus, Khalek's hotness wasn't really highlighted as well as it should have been in the commercials.

Yep, I agree with cafine_us. I believe that was the night the major networks were premiering their new shows so all of a sudden SG-1 had competition it didn't have the previous few weeks. But I think the show held its own.

As do I. I think September was a hard month because Stargate was running against a whole bunch of series premeres.
