last night I was bored so I came up with a (what I thought) witty t-shirt design; a black shirt with hot pink letters that say '40% thinks the other 60 is in denial'

Oh yes. It's not as bad if you don't know the original voices or if the voice-over is done really well (for example, I don't have a problem watching "Gilmore Girls" in the German version or "Veronica Mars" or "Grey's Anatomy"), but in Kavan's case it IS a pain in the ass.
