It's a guy thing. Shep is just pushing Rodney's buttons because he can. One, because it's fun to watch Rodney's responses. And two, because Rodney always steps up and becomes a better man when he's pushed and Shep knows it. And you see Shep do both in this ep

Well - where was the whumpage then? All he did was bend his nail back - that's not enough for us hardened whumpers!!

Really liked this ep - Shep wasn't mean to Rodney he was just keeping him focused by setting him up to finish the impossible task of saving them all!! Of course our man rose to the challenge!

Great one liners and loved Rodney trying to impress! Don't know what all the fuss was about with this ep - everyone getting eggie and whatnot!

I loved how frustrated he got when Sheppard would put the pressure on him.

The whole 'Impending Death' action that makes McKay work harder is one of the funniest things about him.

I mean that doesn't include the mental and physical frustration he goes through to get away from danger-whumpage.
