So I must imagine the countless interviews of TPTB and Mallozzi's blog entries shortly after SGA's cancellation, where they promised the movies. They didn't sound even a tiny little bit doubtful.

        Just two examples:

        http://www.gateworld.net/interviews/...ings_....shtml

        http://www.gateworld.net/interviews/...universe.shtml

They promised the movies in every interview they gave then. And they also promised the game "Stargate Worlds", which was also not made. It wasn't just Syfy who tried to appease the SGA fans. Mallozzi is still spreading false hope in an attempt to lure "old" Stargate fans to SGU.

Looks good but a few remarks:

            * Instead of Home Page as the title of the open window, you should put your website's name.
            * The other sites-colors don't mix well with the background and are hard to read. They don't jump out.

Just clicked all links and they work fine.

The game died because the company making it went under - absolutely zip, nada, zilch and nothing to do with Syfy. As for the other suggestion... can I just say "conspiracy theory"? Why on earth would everyone repeatedly talk about movies if they never intended to make them? Seriously! Why would MGM pay for the script to be written if they never intended to make it? Seriously!

How about, just for the lolz, we consider that TPTB are actually telling the truth about this and it is MGM's parlous financial state that is holding things up? You know, just like it's holding up The Hobbit and James Bond? Or were they only promised to snag unsuspecting fans into watching something else too?

Hopefully (and it's a long shot, given the ongoing $$$ ****e at MGM) things will turn around and they'll be able to afford to do something. Until a firm decision and official announcement one way or the other, I'll wait patiently.

People have mentioned over and over again, that scripts are written and paid for on a daily basis without them ever being used.

Name the last time a stargate script has been written and paid for but not produced.

They don't repeatedly talk about the movies.. it's the fans who reapeatedly keep asking..if they didn't frankly I don't think we would hear a peep about them.. the latest development is that Brad Wright is not even pushing for an SGA movie.. the reason being he didn't write it... At comic con Brad Wright promised an SGA movie.. he never said anything about doing an SG1 movie first.. SGA was to continue with a movie... but then we've had everything from the economy to ratings, to DVD sales, and then ultimately to MGM going bankrupt.. MGM didnt go bankrupt overnight... its been happening for a long time.. but yet they are able to finance SGU with its huge budget.. we don't hear of any disclaimers about MGM not being able to fund a 3rd season of SGU.. why not?.. if they are bankrupt and have no money, why do Brad and Co keep saying that SGU will go 5 seasons and more and if it's cancelled, then the SGU movie will get made first... I thought the failing DVD market was the reason the movies couldn't get made.. why wouldn't this effect the SGU movie... the SGU DVD market has been pretty dismal.. so its nothing to do with conspiracy theories.. it's all to do with the ptb changing their story every five minutes.... and strangely all these issues don't seem to effect SGU...

Why is SG1 being being pushed for and not SGA.. I've heard things like SG1 is a proven success...and a sure thing.. but nothing is EVER a sure thing.. I think SGU has proven that......just because the first 2 SG1 movies did well doesn't mean that a third one will do well also. (same with the series).. many of the fans from the first 2 series have moved on... nothing is a sure thing.. as to writing a script... scripts get written all the time.. its not really a big deal..

Options are bought for untested scripts, outlines are sketched out and full scripts are bought, yes, but rarely are they commissioned without intention of making them. What would be the point in that? MGM own the rights to SG so nobody else can make it - it's not like they are trying to forestall somebody else from making Extinction. This is where the argument has gotten confused - this is not like a studio buying, for example, a script for Green Lantern so that the writer can't sell it to another studio. It's a commissioned script. It's a totally different scenario.
