A lot of the female wraith have a feminine look to them compared to the males of the species.
In "Queen" didn't Teyla look rather man-ish in that Wraith getup?
I'd hope that the females are feminine. And no, she didn't look masculine, just odd.
Never, never, never believe any war will be smooth or easy...
... or that any man can measure the tides and hurricanes he will
encounter on the strange journey.
Spoiler:
2 Cor. 10:3-5
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; )
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
I loved the wraith prosthetics from seasons 1-3 the best. S4-5 are different....
S4-5 is when they started to go too overboard with the veins and lizard skin I think. The Wraith have no actual reptile heritage at all but you certainly wouldn't know that to look at the more recent ones.
Teyla looked pretty convincing to me. And I don't think she looked man-ish. And she made a very convincing Wraith Queen. Todd had better take her threat seriously...

Only slightly, and yes, in the chin area. I think it was because her Wraith makeup had more prosthetics than for other actors. Possibly for ease of taking it on and off considering she had a lot of screentime as a Wraith and it takes about a week to film each episode and several hours to get on all the makeup and such.
