Wraith ship killing.

Ever thought of actually killing wraith ships.
Infect them with a virus, of course i dont know how that would be possible, the transport of course.
And if the ships are similar to wraith genetics, then use the anti wraith drug, or something.

How about attaching the virus (or some other bio-weapon) to the tip of a drone, since drones avoid obstacles, and firing it from a Puddle Jumper ?

the projectiles ARE trinium based, normal projectiles would melt from being so hot after being fired from the railgun.

Yeah but you didn't say that. Besides shooting it from a railgun would probably shatter any kind of cavity in the projectile and burn anything its got on its surface. Just to let you know the projectile is solid and has'nt got any propelent built into it, It uses its sheer force to do the damage and if it did have explosives in it it would explode in the railgun assembly.

i believe this is what was meant by Gmandex when he said "find out their shield frequency", the whole idea of us not being able to simply transport whatever we want into the wraith hive ships is because they have a jamming protocol in their systems...

It was like..the main problem we had when we first starting taking the fight to the Wraith with the Daedalus.

Rail Gun projectiles don't have or need built-in propellants. It doesn't have any other tech like a guidance or GPS systems because those would be crushed by the extreme acceleration out of the Gun.

However, in a space battle against a Wraith Hive or Cruiser, the projectile would not deform or burn because the battle is taking place in the vacuum of space, and thus, there would be no heat generated by friction,.

The only time that a poison or virus could degrade during this battle, would be upon impact on the enemy ship. The impact will cause explosions and fires.

To infect an organic ship with a virus, we would only need that a very small sample of the virus survived the impact, definitely possible. In the case of the poison, we would need the "survival" of a much larger quantity, and that would, in fact, be difficult.

So firing the poison from a Rail Gun wouldn't be such a great idea, however, firing the virus from the Rail Gun has definite possibilities of success.
