then they just wouldn't be cool. like the glowing jellyfish of doom (tm) are so boring when they're turned off...that's what giant non-glowy worms would be. *snooze*

Maybe good Wraith suck life from the bad Wraith, if that's possible.

If that were possible, they would've probably sucked eachother to extinction. Cuz they seem to love to "suck", remember how excited the She-Wraith got when she found out there were millions of people on Earth.

it can even be like Wraith sucking life of other Wraith, but I think they evolved pass that, and can do that may be only if there is no other way to survive - "survival of the fittest". Anyway I came here to say that The Ancient Hologram said "the enemy fed on the defenceless humna worlds like great scerge" and that's a pretty BIG hint on Wraith, however there are different way to feed...so still could be some other race

Like the person who made this thread said, it was made like that in case the writers want to change their mind and make a new enemy. Won't find out til much later on probably.

It would be nice if the Wraith were always there, but they don't always have to be in the spotlight, that's when an enemy loses is "scary appeal".
Yep. Especially when they're been fighting an enemy for a while and learn it's weaknesses... If they kept having Wraith on the show and the was no new way to defeat them, the show would get really pointless.

The Wraith were not as strong as the Ancients...that's why they had to use a virus to kill them off..not technology. However, now that the humans are using ancient technology, they stand at least an equal or only slightly lesser chance at beating the wraiths now. (since the humans don't fully understand ancient tech yet...)

The Wraith most likely DIDN'T make the disease that attacked the Ancients. The Wraith and Ancients had all of their dealings solely in the Pegasus galaxy; the plague that attacked the Ancients has only been mentioned as occuring in the Milky Way. The holo-Ancient said nothing about a plague being used to attack them, just that the dark enemy had tech close to their own level. They were beat back to Atlantis where their shield was holding. They sank the city and evacuated back to the Milky Way, never to see the Wraith again.

Chances are, the plague was a natural occurance, or if it turns out created by the Wraith, didn't affect the Ancients until AFTER they fled.

And NO, the disease Aiyana had WAS NOT FOR SURE the disease that ended Ancient civilization. Considering it wasn't killing her, and seemed easily cured by the Ancients own healing powers, it was probably just a minor disease to the Ancients that proved deadly to humans (like diseases Europeans brought to America were deadly to the native population).

Acutally nothing was said about the virus in 'Rising'. Now that's suspicious! Or did they talk about it? Who can preove me wrong/right?

They probably didn't talk about it because they didn't want to confuse people who had never seen SG-1 before.

And the plague wasn't a problem while they were still at Atlantis.

It's not going to confuse people for the holo-ancient to say "The dark enemy attacked us with a disease to which we had no cure." In fact, it's more confusing for them not to say anything, then suddenly the SG:A team start talking about maybe the Wraith made the disease that wiped out the Ancients. All the new viewers would ask themselves "when was a disease mentioned as wiping out the Ancients?"
