He most likely would no be able 2 feed on the symbiote anyway! Or they would have used a less troublesome animal to feed on that humans! Not saying that they wouldn't hunt humans for sport, but that we would be more like a delicacy (it's spelled wrong, isn't it?), not the main food source!

Well, the reason they feed on humans instead of cows and what not is because of the fact that humans are sentiant, it had been made clear that certain emotions are more tastefull than others. It is obvious that the Goa'uld are sentiant. The question is, can they think, feel, and use their full brain capacity while not blended with another species. The answer to that question will determine wheather or not the Wraith can feed on a symbiote itself.

I'm sure a wraith can feed on a symbiote as even through it can heal itself there's a limit, that's why the goa'uld need sarcophagus to rejuvenate themselves. What I meant by the wraith preferring to feed on the jaffa is that a wraith would probably crush a symbiote trying to feed on it and if it feeds on the jaffa with a symbiote, it'll get more life force.

Taste has nothing to do with nourisment! If they could feed on a cow why would they be desperate that there are not enough humans in Pegasus to sustain them now that they awoke early?
Seeing as how Tanith was able to lie his *ss of while still in a Jaffa pouch I would asume they could use their full brain capacity while not blended!
Most likely they could feed on a Jaffa or a host, but not on the symbiote itself.
