I really wish HUB would pick it up for reruns. I would suggest syfy, but since it's not wrestling or a ghost show, they wouldn't touch it.

Wasn't it on Comedy Central once upon a time? If it is picked up somewhere, you so have to let us know. I love that show.

I grew up with a father and brother who did practically the same thing with movies. And trying to explain it to people who haven't been initiated is always inadequate.

Yes, Comedy Central had it for quite awhile actually.

There were 197 episodes lol, a lot. I think I've seen all of them

I saw one episode where they did the movie "Sampo"

Ukko, I love that one!!!! That's "The Day the Earth Froze", at least, that was the english interpretation. Haha, I actually have that one on VHS I actually kinda like the story in that movie, but it was filmed and acted....not so great.

One of the worst ones (yet best) was Manos, Hands of Fate

I still have a functioning VCR and yes I still use it. Nothing wrong with being old school about certain things.

MST3K was priceless. Used to watch it every saturday night.

Ok, almost jealous a little bit! I have crates of VHS tapes, and nothing to watch them on. Kinda hard to find VCRs anymore, at least ones that don't eat tapes.

i have 2 vcr's that i use almost daily, plus my first vcr ever down in the basement and one i picked up at a thrift shop as a replacement.

you can still buy them new, the catch is that they don't have tuners anymore, they will only record 'line in'...as in off your cable box. which makes them okay to watch tapes, useless to record tv (my reason for recording is often my frustration with multiple shows on at the same time and feeling forced to choose to watch only one. to heck with that, i don't want to have to download or stream an episode because the boneheads at the networks try to make you choose.)

I record, rewind, watch, rewind and reuse.

If hard drive recorders weren't so bloody expensive, I'd have more than the two i have. But it seems they want to try to force you to rent a DVR from the cable company so they are and remain hundreds of dollars when they really shouldn't be, not anymore.

I'll cling to my old ways as long as i can because I hate the notion that i'm being forced to do things how the cable or networks want me to do it.

I didn't know you could still buy them! Hmmm, probably have to order online, as I haven't seen one in a store in forever. Now it's all DVD and Blueray. I may have to look into that fairly soon so I can watch a bunch of my old stuff

Yes...although, 10 or so may be almost impossible to find, as they were on Public Access or something, but they redid them for....Comedy Central.

I realize, several years past.. But for those that have been having a tough time finding VCR's, consider garage sales. Nearly every garage sale these days has a few VCR's, often marked for 5 bucks or so.
