Everyone keeps talking about BSG so I decided to give it a try and bought season 1 on dvd; just watched the miniseries part of it tonight. I liked it a lot at the beginning, but 3 hrs of watching people run for their lives and abandon people for the greater good was pretty depressing. I going to watch the rest of the series but I needed a little break from all the drama so I also watched SG1- Window of Opportunity cuz it for the most part funny and probably my favorite episode of SG.

I'd get use to it. Depressing is what BSG does

I figured that; I went and read the series summary and some of the character summaries on wikipedia lol. I find that I can never actually wait to watch something without knowing what happens at least a little bit. I'm the type of person that skips to the last page of a book to see if certain characters survive and then goes back to fill in the blanks. I'm going to watch it anyway, just not all at once like I do with some series.
