What sci-fi episode did you watch today?

I don't really see as just the pilot as giving the show the chance. Shows change dramatically after the pilot because the pilot has that huge task of introducing the characters and story. So your defense is rejected due to insufficent evidence. Interesting enough I can't stand the X-Files but I went farther then the pilot

Meh. I tried writing something up to argue against this, but I don't really have any valid points on my side. I should probably have given it more then the pilot. But honestly, this show never really interested me in the first place.

The concept of it is not all that engaging to start with, and I don't really like the "artifact of the week" setting of the show. And really, it seems overly cheesy in many parts. I'd peg this show as a really long Saturday Syfy movie.

I'll probably give it another chance, in a few years when I get bored. Hopefully in that time, some of the main characters are killed off, and replaced. Although I do love Artie. He's the only selling point for me at this point.

Also, I should add... wasn't this show marketed at the "general audience"? Maybe that's why I find it mediocre in a lot of areas. It seems dumbed down, so everyone can understand it or just jump right in.

I don't now who decide what is light or not but it's clear than the Sci-fi element (having seen the future) was driving the plot.
