Long before you and I were born, others beat these benches with their empty cups,
To the night and its stars, to the here and now with who we are.
Another sunrise with my sad captains, with who I choose to lose my mind,
And if it's all we only pass this way but once, what a perfect waste of time.

With enough care and attention to detail, it could well rival the Lord of the Rings.
I would love for something to be done with James Clemens' "The Banned and The Banished" series.

Also, it's been awhile since I read them, but I remember really loving Melanie Rawn's "Dragon Prince" and "Dragon Star" trilogies and I think they could make a good tv or movie series.sigpic

The Elenium and Tamuli series however shouldn't be filmed imo as they weren't nearly as good as the other two series. Plus it felt like I was re-reading the Belgariad and the Malloreon all over again when reading the Elenium and Tamulisigpic

How has Eddings writing been recently? From the reviews I've read it seemed like his recent work wasn't nearly as good as his older stuff.

Sad to say, David Eddings passed away in June of 2009.sigpic

Sad to hear about Eddings, his were some of the first fantasy books I ever read and are one of the few series that I re-read from time to time.

I could be wrong, but I'm sure I heard a rumour that someone had bought the right to the Shannara series, and was on the verge of turning The Sword of Shannara into a TV movie.sigpic
