Morena Baccarin as Servalan, although that might be too similar to the character Anna she played on the remake of V.
David Anders as Avon.
They both might be too young, but best I can think of of the top of my head.
I was thinking maybe Michael Shanks as Vila, but while I think he could act the role great, I think he's too big (physical size) to play the character.
No thank you. I don't know what else he's written between 'A Terrible Aspect' and this but how that ever got published is beyond me. Loved him as the character, felt really sad about him as an author.
I was thinking David Anders might make a great Tarrant actually, his always playing either a bad guy or anti hero type character anyway, and from Stargate Amanda Tapping could play a good Servalan, Michael C Hall could play a great Avon i think, and Tom Welling could play a decent blake
Steve Blum might be a great va for the roles of Zen/Slave and Orac tho

Syfy and Freemantle International have confirmed they’ve ordered a 13 episode remake of classic British sci-fi show Blake’s 7, to be written by Heroes‘ Joe Pokaski and directed by Green Lantern‘s Martin Campbell.
“Blake’s 7 was such a forward-thinking concept that the show continues to have resonance with audiences today,” said David Ellender, CEO FremantleMedia International.
“Its complex characters and gritty storylines, coupled with the highly talented team and modern production techniques are sure to appeal to both original fans of the show and new viewers.”
Syfy's been pretty mum on their reimagining of the BBC's gritty '80s scifi series Blake's 7, but now we know 1) it's still on the way, and 2) this time it's personal, because Blake has a dead wife. Plus, Casino Royale's Martin Campbell is still on board to direct the pilot.
Here's the new, detail-packed synopsis:
The year is 2136, Blake wakes up on one side of the bed. He reaches for the other side. There’s nobody there. As reality sets in, this handsome ex-soldier sits up, and looks at a photo of his wife Rachel. Beautiful. Deceased.
A revolutionary reinvention of the long-running BBC series made in the late 1970s, Blake’s 7 tells the story of seven criminals - 6 guilty and 1 innocent - on their way to life on a prison colony in space, who together wrestle freedom from imprisonment. They acquire an alien ship which gives them a second chance at life and become the most unlikely heroes of their time.
David Ellender, CEO FremantleMedia International and Kids & Family Entertainment said, “Blake’s 7 was such a forward-thinking concept that the show continues to have resonance with audiences today. Its complex characters and gritty storylines, coupled with the highly talented team and modern production techniques are sure to appeal to both original fans of the show and new viewers.”
Leon Clarance, co-founder of Georgeville Television and CEO of Motion Picture Capital, the finance arm of Reliance Entertainment, said, “Joe Pokaski and Martin Campbell have worked tirelessly with the Georgeville TV team to create an amazeballs reboot of this classic space opera which I watched with my father when I was a child. This reimagined classic for a new generation of science fiction fans will enthrall original and new fans alike. I couldn’t be happier to have our beloved show handled internationally by the passionate team at FremantleMedia.”
