Part of The Further Adventures of Sherlock Holmes series, this has the Great Detective teaming up with a certain Lord Greystoke.

Long before you and I were born, others beat these benches with their empty cups,
To the night and its stars, to the here and now with who we are.

Another sunrise with my sad captains, with who I choose to lose my mind,
And if it's all we only pass this way but once, what a perfect waste of time.

I've never read it. But I'll keep an eye open for it next time I'm at the library.

I may be making a return to reading something set in the 'Battletech' universe. But I've yet to make up my mind.

Finished reading "Look to windward" by Ian M. Banks. Good book though I felt the ending was a bit anti climatic.

Next up is "Blue remembered Earth" by Alastair Reynolds.

I'm about halfway through Ringworld by Larry Niven. I've been pleasantly surprised by how fun the book is. It's a great adventure story. I enjoy it for all the same reasons I enjoyed Rendezvous with Rama.
