It is sad to see no mention of SG1 but that is probably because of the cancellation. It is going to be odd not seeing RDA & SG1 on there. I think they have been a part of the show in one way or another since the beginning.

I am hoping that the SPACEYS will do some sort of tribute to commemorate Ten Years of SG1.

It will be strange not seeing the SG-1 team at the SPACEYS- especially considering that they've won the lead actor category for at least the last three years in a row I think. I loved the presentation to BB last year, and RDA every year.....hilariously amazing. Absolutely loved last year's "Breakfast With Spacey".

Did anyone think the way the website was set up a little strange. I thought the method of voting was very different from other websites.

        anyway

The only hard choice was having to choose between Battlestar Galactica and Stargate Atlantis as best TV show, but I picked Battlestar.

What did everyone pick for best video game, I picked Oblivion, the game that takes up too much of my homework time.

          My votes:

Love to Hate: Lex Luthor (Smallville)
          Fav tv character: Starbuck (BSG)
          Fav kick-ass character: V (V for Vendetta)
Fav classic tv show: Star Trek
          Fav tv show: Heroes
          Fav movie: X men 3
Science Fiction is an existential metaphor; it allows us to tell stories about the human condition.

Isaac Asimov once said individual science fiction stories may seem as trivial as ever to the blinder critics and philosophers of today, but the core of science fiction, its essence has become crucial to our salvation if we are to be saved at all.

Yeah, I'm very disappointed with the Spacey Nominees this year, How could they not nominate SG-1 for anything!? They MAKE the show every year. I am very curious to see if they're gonna work RDA into it somehow. I'm thinking SG-1 will get the 'in memoriam' this year, although I don't recall if that segment was in the awards last year... I voted for Vala because she was the only SG-1 nomination even though I disagree with the 'love to hate' label. It was really, REALLY hard to choose between Hiro and Rodney for favorite character, and I voted for Atlantis out of respect for the Stargate franchise and the fact that it's a Canadian production, even though I'm so behind and am actually getting more out of Lost and Heroes right now. SG-1 would have won hands down had it been nominated. *sigh*

Oh and Zelda for best game, No Question.

Just replace all of the 24 noms with SG-1, and they'd have had it right.

I stilll don't get why 24 is in there. I mean come on.....SPACE doesn't even air that show. Or have news segments on it. Or ever mention it. So why?

This year's special life time achievement award will go to Cheeta the Chimp, according to today's episode of Hypaspace Weekly.

I'm also confused about why 24 is in the mix.

                As far as SG-1 goes, I don't care that it's missing because I don't watch it. I just can't get into it(weird for Gateworld, I know ).

I really like BSG but Season 3 was a disappointment. Most episodes of Season 3 were almost a chore to watch while the mini-series and Seasons 1 and 2 were so great. That led me to pick Stargate Atlantis for favorite show(it's my new obsession, lol).

Baltar all the way for character you love to hate.

No question for favorite character........Rodney McKay.

Starbuck did nothing for me this season.

Woohoo! Yay SPACEYS! And Terminator 3 as a follow-up! Though the only thing that I voted for that actually won was Rodney McKay for favourite character.....and how cool was that for Katee Sackhoff to get one as well! Choosing between them was torture. Anyway, awsome show, too bad RDA wasn't on there this year, was very cool to see the entire Atlantis cast and Beau Bridges though. And oh yeah, David's acceptance speech= best ever.

And no kidding.....Atlantis beating out BSG by that wide a margin was a massive shocker. Probably the biggest surprise of the show.

There was a "Highlights of the SPACEYS" segment on today's hyspaspace weekly- and it of course featured lots of Hewlett running and screaming between the other clips. That just really doesn't get old.....
