Joseph Mallozzi -"In the meantime, I'm into season 5 of OZ (where the show takes an unfortunate hairpin turn into "the not so wonderful world of fantasy")"
^^^ Kinda sounds like seasons 9 and 10 of SG-1 to me. Thor, ya got Aspirin?
AGateFan has officially Gone Fishin (with Jack, Sam, Daniel, Teal'c) and is hoping Atlantis does not take that same hairpin turn.

Someone listened and started one when I was too lazy. Good job.
Odyssey 5. I finally got a friend of mine to watch the show, he was hooked and watched all 20 episodes in less than 2 days. After the final he asked "Where's the next tape?" and I went "That's it, that's how it ends".
Dumbass Showtime.

* BSG (new)

BSG - New version... - Own First 2 seasons
4400 - Own first 2 seasons
Lost - Own first two seasons
Sliders - None yet...
X-Files - Lots of random Videos, will buy all eventually
Earth 2 (I liked this show! sue me!)
Star Trek - DS9 and Voyager are my faves, TNG is watchable too... Again, lots of random videos, nothing in order. lol
Babylon 5
Firefly - Have this on dvd
Alias - first 3 seasons so far
I love collecting DVD's! Have all available SG1 and getting SGA next week...Vows are spoken
To be broken
Feelings are intense
Words are trivial
Pleasures remain
So does the pain
Words are meaningless
And forgettable
All I ever wanted
All I ever needed
Is here in my arms
Words are very unnecessary
They can only do harm

Excluding the Gates my favourites are:
Firefly
ST TNG
ST ENTScience Fiction is an existential metaphor; it allows us to tell stories about the human condition.
Isaac Asimov once said individual science fiction stories may seem as trivial as ever to the blinder critics and philosophers of today, but the core of science fiction, its essence has become crucial to our salvation if we are to be saved at all.

Star Trek: TOS
Farscape (not the mini series - never saw that).
And why is Buffy considered sci-fi? I always thought it was fantasy. The man who opened the way.
The man who led the way.
"It will take you a million light years from home. But will it bring you back?" Stargate the movie
A mystery ... a secret ... a threshold ... to the future. Stargte the movie
The perfect SG-1 team: Colonel Jack, Daniel, Major Ferretti and Jonas

Also, don't quite get Firefly making people's lists since it only last half a season.Equality is not a concept. It's not something we should be striving for. It's a necessity. Equality is like gravity. We need it to stand on this earth as men and women. And the misogyny that is in every culture is not a true part of the human condition. It is life out of balance, and that imbalance is sucking something out of the soul of every man and woman who is confronted with it.
