    Day of the Daleks

    I must have seen this the first time round but most of it has vanished from my memory. But I do distictly remember the Ogrons walking out from under that canal bridge and the Doctor and Jo escaping on a motor trike thingy.

              Day of the Daleks, special edition.

              While the new CG effects and revamped Dalek voices are very nice, the newly shot scenes of a lone UNIT trooper being blasted by an Ogron and later numerous Daleks leaves much to be desired.

                      9.1 Day of the Daleks


                      The special edition's CGI effects are great and definitely enhance story in many places and especially the decaying 22nd century Earth and UNIT Vs. Daleks & Ogrons battle. The newly filmed footage fits in with the story flawlessly, and the Dalek voices provided by Nicholas Briggs are a VAST improvement on the original 1972 voices. Fantastic stuff!
