I watched Vincent and the Doctor and The Lodger today (still loving my series 5 set

In honour of Doctor Who's 47th anniversary, I watched the very first episode that was originally broadcast at 5:15pm on Saturday, November 23rd 1963 on BBC TV - An Unearthly Child.

I thought about watching the original pilot but decided against it. I just wanted to go with how it was back in 1963. As soon as the time read 5:15 I hit 'Play' on my DVD.Originally posted by Billz View PostSame.

Maybe William Hartnell was told to tone it down for the re-shot pilot. Apparently there was something that Carole Ann Ford wished she'd kept from the original pilot in the re-shot version but I can't recall what it was exactly.
