G ~ Great Vampire - The Great Vampire is one of the many Vampire lords. It is the last of its kind, the rest of them having been killed by being shot with large metal spears launched by spacegoing warships known as 'bowships'. The Doctor killed the last with one of the scoutships from the lords tower, actually a grounded space vessel in the serial 'State of Decay'.

J ~ Jenny - Jenny was the artificially-created "daughter" of the Doctor created from his genes.

A short war waged on the planet Messaline between Humans and Hath. The Humans and Hath used progenation machines to instantly create mentally programmed young adults from DNA of a single parent. When the Doctor (with Donna Noble and Martha Jones) arrived on Messaline, he had Jenny made from him against his will from a skin sample just prior to an ambush by Hath.

The then-nameless Jenny pushed a button which triggered an explosion, causing the collapse of the tunnel that cut the group off from the Hath and from Martha. Shortly after, Jenny, was named by the Doctor's companion Donna Noble from the Doctor's original description of her as a 'generated anomaly'.

Jenny's commander, Cobb, had Jenny locked up with the Doctor and Donna. While in this cell, Donna proved to the Doctor that Jenny was indeed his daughter; she listened to Jenny's heartbeat and found that, like the Doctor, she had two hearts. Jenny helped the others by kissing Cline and then taking his pistol. The Doctor found his daughter very capable though inclined towards violence, though convinced her not to kill Cobb when she had the chance.

As the three of them made their way towards the Source, which Cobb and the Hath both sought, Jenny spoke with the Doctor about the possibility of traveling with him, and he told her that he would never leave her. The Doctor told the respective parties to end the war, whereupon General Cobb aimed his gun and shot at him. Jenny here showed her compassion by standing in the way of the bullet. She was shot through one of her hearts, and died, but did not regenerate.

While laying in state, however, Jenny returned to life, stole a shuttlecraft, and left Messaline, determined to save other worlds and to do "an awful lot of running" like her father.

Jenny appeared in the 2008 story The Doctor's Daughter. She was played by Georgia Moffett.

K ~ Key of Rassilon - A Gallifreyan artefact that allows access to the Matrix, the repository of all Time Lord knowledge. It is kept by the Keeper of the Matrix, and should not be confused with the Great Key of Rassilon or the Rod of Rassilon.

              Synopsis
              ---------

M ~ Malmooth - The Malmooth are a race of humanoid insects native to the planet Malcassairo, who are all but extinct by the year 100 trillion. The last surviving member of their race, Chantho, played by Chipo Chung, appears in 'Utopia'. A devoted assistant to Professor Yana for 17 years, when the Professor is revealed to be the Master and proceeds to turn on the Doctor and his companions, Chantho threatens to kill him. He electrocutes her, but she manages to shoot him before dying, forcing him to regenerate.

A feature of Chantho's speech is that she starts and ends her sentences with "chan" and "tho", respectively. She considers it "rude" to do otherwise, tantamount to swearing.

Physical features of the Malmooth include an insectoid exoskeleton and mandibles, and the ability to survive by drinking their own internal milk.

N ~ Nyder - Nyder was a security commander and most trusted associate, and personal aide, to Davros. He was icily efficient and obeyed Davros's every order. He was in the end exterminated by the Daleks as he tried to carry out Davros's instructions.

Despite certain misgivings about Davros's more complicated plans (he preferred the more direct approach due to his military background), he never waivered and had no problems with the genocide of his own people and of the Thals just to achieve Davros's goals. He was also cunning and sly, and while not as intelligent as Davros he still managed to trick the other members of the scientific elite into revealing their treachery.

Nyder appeared in the 1975 story Genesis of the Daleks. He was played by Peter Miles.

O ~ Opera Glasses - These are a small set of binoculars that the Doctor carries with him in the 2005 episode 'The Empty Child', as well as in the novel 'The Nightmare of Black Island'. In the latter, he uses them to gain a closer view of Ynis Du's lighthouse. The actual origin of the glasses are unknown; however, the fact that they are described as having "computer-enhanced lenses" suggests that they are a product of some future time.

P ~ Planet of Fire - 1984 story starring Peter Davison as "The Doctor", Mark Strickson as "Vislor Turough", Gerald Flood as the voice of "Kamelion", and introducing Nicola Bryant as "Peri Brown".

                      Synopsis
                      ----------
A strange signal from Earth draws the TARDIS to the island of Lanzarote. While the Doctor tries to track the source of the signal, his companion Turlough rescues a young American girl, Peri, from drowning. She is holding an artefact made from platinum bearing a strange symbol - the same symbol that Turlough himself carries on his arm, branded into the flesh...

It is the artefact that is emitting the signal, leading them all to the planet Sarn, a world ravaged by volcanoes and yet holding the secret of eternal life. But an old foe of the Doctor's is desperate for this elixir, and will stop at nothing to gain it.

What is Turlough's link to the artefact? What is the nature of Sarn's mythical god, Logar, and how is it linked to the ruined spaceship crashed on a mountainside? As age-old systems of belief begin to break down, will anyone escape from the planet of fire with their life?

S ~ Scarf - The Fourth Doctor's long, multicolour-striped scarf, which he claimed was knitted for him by Madame Nostradamus (described by the Doctor as "a witty little knitter"), is one of the images people generally associate with the character. He had more than one in similar designs and during the time he travelled with Romana, he could be seen wearing one while another was hanging on the Console Room hatstand. The scarf the Doctor wore during his regeneration at the end of 'Logopolis' was unravelled by the Fifth Doctor in the beginning of 'Castrovalva'. A Fourth Doctor-style scarf was seen hanging in the TARDIS Wardrobe Room in the Tenth Doctor special 'The Christmas Invasion'. The Seventh Doctor wore a smaller paisley scarf. Romana wore a white version of the scarf during 'Destiny of the Daleks'.

                              Synopsis
                              ---------
The once-feared Cybermen have disappeared from the universe without trace. An expedition from Earth arrives on Telos — homeworld of the Cybermen — to try and discover exactly what has become of the silver giants.

Soon after the Doctor, Jamie and Victoria join the archaeological party, the first mysterious death occurs. With the group now stranded on Telos, it becomes clear that the Cybermen may not be as 'dead' as it was first thought...

Beneath the planet's surface, giant ice-tombs hold the last remains of the Cybermen in a frozen sleep. And someone is working to re-activate them from their slumber...

U ~ Untempered Schism - A gap in the fabric of reality, the Untempered Schism allows one to look directly into the Time Vortex. It is depicted as a stonework portal through which one sees the Time Vortex unaided. Gallifreyan children are taken to the Schism at the age of eight and made to face the Schism as a form of initiation into the Time Lord Academy. According to Tenth Doctor, Gallifreyan children who look into the time vortex through the Untempered Schism were either inspired, ran away, or went mad. In a flashback during 'The Sound of Drums', the Master is seen looking into the Schism as a child, an event that Tenth Doctor describes as the moment the Master went mad. The Doctor says he himself was one of those who "ran away, and never stopped".
