A ~ 'Axos, The Claws Of' - The Axons land on Earth, desperately in need of fuel. They propose to exchange the miracle substance they call Axonite for some much needed energy. Axonite is a "thinking" molecule that can replicate any substance... or so they claim. As it turns out, the ship is a single organism called Axos whose purpose is to feed itself by draining all energy through the Axonite (which is just a part of itself), including the energy of every life form on Earth. The deception about the Axonite's beneficial properties was to facilitate the distribution of Axonite across the globe.

Meanwhile, the Master, who was captured by Axos and used his knowledge of Earth as a bargaining chip for his life and freedom, escapes Axos and makes his way to the Doctor's TARDIS — his own having been seized by Axos. He plans to repair it to escape from Earth.

F ~ Fifth Doctor, The - (The Fifth Doctor made his first appearance at the end of the 1981 story Logopolis when he came in to existence after the Fourth Doctor sacrificed his life to stop the Master from threatening the destruction of the universe unless the peoples of countless worlds obeyed him.

In the 1982 story, Castrovalva, the Fifth Doctor chose a cricketing motif for his clothing and wore a stick of celery in his lapel to warn him when certain gases within the Praxis range of the spectrum were present...gases he had an allergy too. The Fifth Doctor also occasionally wore spectacles due to a astigmatism in one of his eyes.

In the 1983 tv movie The Five Doctors, the Fifth Doctor encountered three of his four previous incarnations after they were forcibly removed from their time zones which threatened his existence. After completing the Game of Rassilon and defeating Borusa, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Doctor's were returned to their time zones and the 4th Doctor was released from the time eddy he'd become trapped in.

In the 1984 story The Caves of Androzani, the Fifth Doctor sacrificed his life to save his companion Peri by giving her the entire antidote to the deadly Spectrox Toxeamia to which both they'd both been infected.

In the 2007 story Time Crash, the Tenth Doctor encountered the Fifth Doctor after their TARDIS' (the same TARDIS in two different periods of time) merged causing a paradox threatening the destruction of time and space. It is only through using the Fifth Doctor's memories of what he will do, that the Tenth Doctor is able to undo the paradox, split the TARDIS' and return the Fifth Doctor to his normal point in space and time.

The Fifth Doctor was played by Peter Davison.)

L ~ Leela - (Leela was companion to the 4th Doctor. She first appeared in the 1977 story The Face of Evil. She was a warrior of the savage Sevateem tribe, who were the descendants of the crew of an Earth ship that crash landed on planet in the far future. The name of her tribe, "Sevateem", was a corruption of "survey team". Although the Doctor at this point was content to travel alone, Leela forces her way into the TARDIS and continues to accompany the Doctor on his journeys.

In the story The Horror of Fang Rock, Leela was briefly blinded by the flash caused by the explosion of a Rutan ship. Her sight quickly recovered but her eye colour changed from brown to blue.

After defeating the Nucleus' attempt to spread its spawn throughout the universe, she and the Doctor were joined in their travels by the 51st century robot computer K-9 at the conclusion of the story The Invisible Enemy.

Following the defeat of the Sontarans attempt to invade Gallifrey, Leela decided to remain behind after falling in love with a Chancellery Guard named Andred in the story The Invasion of Time. It was revealed in the 1983 story Arc of Infinity that Leela married Andred.

Presumably Leela was present during the Time Lords' Time War with the Daleks and was killed when Gallifrey was destroyed.)

M ~ Malmooth - The Malmooth are a race of humanoid insects native to the planet Malcassairo, who are all but extinct by the year 100 trillion. The last surviving member of their race, Chantho, played by Chipo Chung, appears in 'Utopia'. A devoted assistant to Professor Yana for 17 years, when the Professor is revealed to be the Master and proceeds to turn on the Doctor and his companions, Chantho threatens to kill him. He electrocutes her, but she manages to shoot him before dying, forcing him to regenerate.

A feature of Chantho's speech is that she starts and ends her sentences with "chan" and "tho", respectively. She considers it "rude" to do otherwise, tantamount to swearing.

Physical features of the Malmooth include an insectoid exoskeleton and mandibles, and the ability to survive by drinking their own internal milk.

                                ----------
The TARDIS lands at the site of a hyperspatial collision between two spacecraft - as a result of which, neither ship is dimensionally stable, risking the lives of all those aboard. The Doctor, K-9 and Romana offer to help out. When a crewmember is found dead, his face lacerated by huge claws, it seems something deadly has been released by the accident. But how is the death linked to the discovery that the killer drug Vraxoin has been smuggled aboard? The answer could be the savage Mandrels, hideous swamp-creatures from the planet Eden, which soon tear through the corridors of the helpless spaceships...)
