Nyssa ~ Companion of the Doctor. Nyssa originated from the planet Traken. Her stepmother Kassia and her father Tremas were murdered and her entire planet and its solar system were wiped out by the Master. Following these tragic events she joined the Doctor in his travels. She eventually left the TARDIS to put her scientific skills to use in order to help the people of a space station called Terminus battling a lethal disease and gain independence.
