B ~ Bad Wolf - 2005 story starring Christopher Eccleston as "The Doctor", Billie Piper as "Rose Tyler", and John Barrowman as "Captain Jack Harkness".

Guest starring Noel Clarke as "Mickey Smith".

Introducing David Tennant as "The Doctor".

    Synopsis
    ----------
The Doctor, Rose and Captain Jack, have to fight for their lives on board the Game Station, but a far more dangerous threat is lurking, just out of sight. The Doctor realises that the entire Human race has been blinded to the threat on its doorstep, and Armageddon is fast approaching.

    Trivia
    -------
    • The Doctor regenerates for the ninth time. The cause of his regeneration is due to cell damage caused to his body after absorbing the power of the space/time vortex.

    • Captain Jack Harkness is exterminated by the Daleks but later restored to life by Rose Tyler who is channelling the power of the space/time vortex. An unexpected side-effect of Jack's resurrection is revealed in the Torchwood Series 1 episode Everything Changes and the reasoning for the Doctor's abandonment of Jack is revealed in the Doctor Who 2007 story Utopia.

    • The Daleks return in force for the first time since the 1988 story Remembrance of the Daleks but a lone Dalek had been seen in the 2005 story Dalek.

    • This story acts as a sequel to The Long Game.

    • "Bad Wolf" - words that have been following the Doctor and Rose throughout their travels have their meaning revealed in this story. They'd return again in the 2008 story Turn Left.

Caves of Androzani, The - 1984 story starring Peter Davison as "The Doctor" and Nicola Bryant as "Peri Brown".

Guest starring Janet Fielding as "Tegan Jovanka", Mark Strickson as "Vislor Turlough", Gerald Flood as the voice of "Kamelion", Sarah Sutton as "Nyssa", and Matthew Waterhouse as "Adric".

Introducing Colin Baker as "The Doctor".

      Synopsis
      -----------
After landing on the planet Androzani Minor, the Doctor and Peri develop lethal spectrox toxaemia poisoning. As the two search for a cure before it is too late, they become enmeshed in a decades-old feud between the disfigured android scientist Sharaz Jek and businessman Morgus.

Jek becomes obsessed with Peri, but the situation only degenerates when the girl ignores his affections. Between threats from magma beasts and gun runners, it quickly becomes apparent that the Doctor will never find a cure in time to save both himself and his companion...

      Trivia
      -------
      • The Doctor regenerates for the fifth time. The cause of his regeneration is due to spectrox toxaemia poisoning.

      • During his regeneration the Doctor has visions of his former companions Tegan Jovanka, Vislor Turlough, Kamelion, Nyssa, and Adric and his enemy the Master.

      • The reason for the Doctor wearing a stick of celery on his lapel is given in this story. The Doctor's fifth incarnation is allergic to certain gases within the praxis range of the spectrum and the celery changes purple when these gases are present. Celery is apparently also a powerful restorative on Gallifrey in the same way smelling salts are on Earth but celery isn't as effective on humans due to their weaker olfactory sense.

I ~ Isomorphic Controls - Isomorphic controls were those controls which could only be operated by one user. Such controls ostensibly worked only after identifying the allowed user through genetics or other uniquely identifying properties.

In the 1975 story Pyramids of Mars, the Doctor revealed that the controls of the TARDIS were Isomorphic.

In the 2007 story The Sound of Drums, the Master's Laser Screwdriver could only be operated by him due to its Isomporphic Controls.

In the 2010 TV movie A Christmas Carol, Kazran Sardick's weather control machine had Isomorphic Controls. It responded to him until through the Doctor's interference in Sardick's past left him unrecognisable to the machine.

K ~ K-9 - Robot computer in the shape of a dog. It was originally created by Professor Marinus in the 51st century and left him to join the Doctor in his travels.

K-9 Mk. I first appeared in the 1977 story The Invisible Enemy. His last appearance in Doctor Who was in the 1978 story The Invasion of Time in which he chose to remain on Gallifrey. It was presumed that K-9 Mk. I was destroyed in the Time Lords' Time War against the Daleks but in the 2009 episode Regeneration of spin-off show K-9 he is revealed to have survived the war when he appears through a space/time rift on Earth in the year 2050. He self-destructs to save humans but through Time Lord technology he is restored in to a new model but his memories of everything before appearing through the rift are gone. K-9 Mk. I currently assists an organisation called The Department in their investigations and defending against alien threats.

K-9 Mk. II was built by the Doctor. He first appeared in the 1978 story The Ribos Operation. He eventually left along with their companion Romana to remain in E-Space to release an enslaved race called Tharils in the 1980 story Warriors' Gate. Eventually K-9 Mk. II and Romana returned to N-Space and then to Gallifrey. Presumably K-9 Mk. II was destroyed during the Time War against the Daleks.

K-9 Mk. III was built by the Doctor. He travelled with the Doctor and Adric for a short time before the Doctor took him to Earth and left him as a present for his friend and former companion Sarah Jane Smith in 1976. 4-years later, Sarah Jane eventually claimed K-9 Mk. III in the one-off 1981 TV movie K-9 and Company: A Girl's Best Friend.
K-9 Mk. III briefly appeared in the 1983 TV movie The Five Doctors in which he tried to warn Sarah Jane against a danger and that somehow the Doctor was involved.
By 2007, K-9 Mk. III had ceased functioning and due to his mix of 51st century and Time Lord technology Sarah Jane was unable to repair him. In the 2006 story School Reunion, Sarah Jane and the Doctor encountered each other whilst investigating a school with unusual goings-on. They repaired K-9 Mk. III to help them in their investigations where they discovered a race of aliens using school children to unlock a code that would give them access to shaping all of time and space to their own ends. K-9 Mk. III sacrificed himself to stop them.

K-9 Mk. IV first appeared in the 2006 story School Reunion. He was built by the Doctor and given to Sarah Jane Smith to replace K-9 Mk. III. In the 2007 TV movie Invasion of the Bane of spin-off show The Sarah Jane Adventures, K-9 Mk. IV is revealed to be attempting to contain a Black Hole from spilling out and enveloping the Earth. In The Sarah Jane Adventures's series 1 finale story The Lost Boy, K-9 Mk. IV was briefly brought back to help stop Sarah Jane's sentient computer Mr. Smith from bringing the moon crashing down on Earth. K-9 Mk. IV made another Doctor Who appearance in the 2008 story The Stolen Earth in which he helped the Doctor bring Earth back to its proper place in space.
In Series 3, K-9 Mk. IV became a regular character in The Sarah Jane Adventures but in the first story of Series 4, he left to look after Sarah Jane's son Luke who was going to attend university.

It would be heard again in Castrovalva, Resurrection of the Daleks, The Enemy Within, the mini-story Born Again, The Sound of Drums, the mini-story Time Crash, Turn Left, The Waters of Mars, The Eleventh Hour, and the PC game story TARDIS.

                        • The Doctor and the Master's TARDIS' appear within each other. Such a thing previously happened in the 1972 story The Time Monster. A similar phenomenon occurred in the 2011 mini-story Space except that the Doctor's TARDIS materialised within itself and there was a time distortion.

                        • In the 1980 story Full Circle the TARDIS fell through a Charged Vacuum Emboitment (CVE) in to the pocket universe called E-Space. The reason for the CVE's is revealed in this story.

M ~ Mitchell, Adam - Adam Mitchell was a young English researcher in the employ of the American GeoComTex billionaire Henry van Statten. He was very briefly a companion to the Doctor.

Adam was a genius. He was recruited by Van Statten to work in his underground laboratory in Utah to work on technology of alien origin. In the 2005 story Dalek, set in the year 2012, he met the Doctor and Rose Tyler after they responded to a distress signal which they later learned was being transmitted by a captured Dalek. After the Dalek got loose he and Rose just about managed to escape with their lives. The Dalek defeated, Adam was invited to join the Doctor and Rose in their travels.

In the following story, The Long Game, Adam was taken to the year 200,000 and the space station Satellite 5. Whilst there he underwent a type of surgery in order to allow him to access 2001st century technology and send it back through to 2012 using Rose's "Super Phone" so he can benefit from it. Upon learning this, the Doctor took Adam back home to his own time, destroyed the recording he transmitted from the future, and left him there.

Adam Mitchell is the only companion the Doctor has ejected from the TARDIS.

O ~ Osirians - Osirians (also known as Osirans) were a race of powerful and intelligent humanoids. They could live for thousands of years.

Osirians, despite their name, looked somewhat like the traditional depictions of Set. They had grey skin, jackal or donkey-like heads with large, square ears and bright green eyes. They had expanded brain-cases and a cerebrum like "a spiral staircase", which means they particularly liked puzzles. Osirians also had a wide variety of advanced psychic powers, including mental and physical projection, mind control and telepathy.

On Earth in 1911, one Osirian known as Sutekh the Destroyer was working towards freeing himself from his entombment in Egypt but was prevented from doing so by the Doctor and Sarah Jane Smith.
