I totally sympathise. When will these new fangled fans get it? The modern Battlestar Galactica is a reboot. The 2009 Star Trek movie is a reboot. Doctor Who RETURNED and continued and that's why Christopher Eccleston's incarnation of the Doctor is the ninth not the first. I forgot about Leonard Nimoy's Spock being in it. Okay, the 2009 Star Trek doesn't count. But I still stand steady and firm that Doctor Who from 2005 is NOT a reboot it is a continuation. Its still the same show that started back in 1963. The only thing that makes it different is all the behind-the-scenes goings on with its higher budget and modern day technology. The stories are still as great and dark and funny and creepy and bizarre and mad as they were in the first 42-years of TV seasons, comic strips, books, and audio adventures. The Doctor is still the same man he was (albeit suffering from survivors guilt and withdrawing in to his shell due to the Time War) and the TARDIS is still the same ship Ian Chesterton and Barbara Wright discovered in a scrapyard at 76 Totter's Lane.Originally posted by pbellosom View Post
