Equality is not a concept. It's not something we should be striving for. It's a necessity. Equality is like gravity. We need it to stand on this earth as men and women. And the misogyny that is in every culture is not a true part of the human condition. It is life out of balance, and that imbalance is sucking something out of the soul of every man and woman who is confronted with it.

Glad to hear it keeps getting better.....based on "End of The World" I'll be watching next week.
I got home in time to watch the last 1/4 of the show, saw a couple of minutes and then decided to wait until the next episode started and then REALLY got into it. When I was younger it did take an episode or two to get into it. Strangely, I was the same way with BSG and no I'm totally adicted to it.

HMMMM.....Doctor Who as the First Lord of Kobol?
"The Clarke Postulate - One's ability to correctly explain advanced theoretical thermodynamics as applied to string theory within a fictional context is directly related to one's ability to cook the perfect lemon chicken with mushrooms in a nice garlic butter sauce. While some use this unexpected correlation as proof of intelligent design, I believe that its all about the person's choice of mushrooms.

I also believe that there is a tear developing in the space-time continuum which if left uncheck will allow Microsoft to become a world power. I suspect that unless we all download Firefox 3 on the same day, thus sealing the tear, that life as we know it may be over and children will have their teddy bears and blankets ripped mercilessly from their arms.

Is that the series with David Tennant as Dr.Who?

Some say the world will end in fire, some say in ice
From what I've tasted of desire I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice, I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice is also great and would suffice.

Ok, I saw both Doctor Who episodes last night...

Most of the other episodes I have seen was The 4th Doctor, The Trial Of A Time Lord, and Doctor Who: The Movie.

Personally, a wee bit corny for my taste. But it wa still cool.

I liked the episode The End Of The World better than the pilot, but the pilot was none-the-less efficient.

Next weeks episode: The Unquiet Dead

I get that, I felt the same when I saw it like it was IMO trying just a little too hard with the 'pop culture' references and the music but it really does come into its own and by the season finale you will be hanging out for more episodes and the season finale is awesome! As for the silly, well it is Dr Who, it has always been a little silly.

The feedback betwen new and old vierwers has been very positive.
I'm cautiously optimistic that the ratings are favorable and SiFi will will pick up Series 2.

                          Ok, saw it.

                          And I gotta say...it was dissapointing. :/

For one..the whole thing felt forced. The new Doctor smiles all the time practically (I mean come on...that one wood person DIES to save everyone and he SMILES before leaving????) His personality feels VERY forced...very fake. And the whole thing comes off corny...maybe..just maybe if the Doctor had acted more real it would have taken away some of the cheese-ball of it all.

It's just wayyy too forced. (that and it screamed of Farscape...even the website looks like farscape)
It feels good to be alive.
Cause i've been dead for so long.

Doctor Who has always been a little offbeat and corny, that's part of its charm. When I first saw Rose last year I was put off by the amount of comedy in the episode but the things calmed downed quickly in future episodes. The second half of the series contains some very unique and inspired stories. I would try to stick around to Episode 6, the only one set in the US, where things take a darker turn.
