Bad that they talked about RTD sexuality?
Good if they don't mention it at all?
Shouldn't matter?
What has Brokeback Mountain got to do with anything anyway? As I said I don't get where you are coming from with this response.
Sorry, but wouldn't you find something a little queer (pun intended) about a BSG related feature story that made such heavy weather of Ronald D. Moore's (hetero)sexuality? I just don't see the point - unless it's another straight journalist in a MSM outlet who wants to show just how "tolerant" they are.

Sorry for the confusion.
FYI, CBC are co-producers in the "silent partner" way. They aired Series One 10 days after the UK broadcast of each episode last year. And they got introductions from Billie Piper and Christopher Eccleston. This year, though, they are airing it later because of Hockey season. Hockey is their major ratings draw.

Doctor Who airs later in the US. It'll be dark by the time everyone can watch it (except for West Coast satellite viewers who get an East Coast feed). May make a difference.
In the UK, "Rose" and "Dalek" were the sweeps time episodes, aka "event" eps. A lot of people tuned into Rose just to see what the remake was like. And some tuned into Dalek to see what the iconic villains were like in New Who.
The remarkable thing for Doctor Who in the UK last year was that it was the ratings success of the year. It got "Lost" type numbers in audience share.

Here are some charts that describe the UK ratings, courtesy of some wonderful fans at OG.
Ratings (number of viewers in millions) and TV shares (of all TVs on how many where tuned to the show)
Appreciation Index - Of those who saw the show enjoyed it?
The ratings may have plateaued because of the summer but the TV shares continued to remain strong through out the season. Out of all the TVs used while Who was airing, 40% of them were tuned into BBC1 on Saturdays at 7pm.

We need it to stand on this earth as men and women. And the misogyny that is in every culture is not a true part of the human condition. It is life out of balance, and that imbalance is sucking something out of the soul of every man and woman who is confronted with it.
