I highly recommend watching Casanova, as well as Blackpool (in which he dances and sings). Or, if you don't mind seeing him play a much darker role, Secret Smile.

If you want DT in full manic mode he was in the first episode of the Reeves and Mortimer remake of Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) DT was they crazy artist. It had been bugging me for months, where I'd seen DT before then it cliked, Randal and Hopkirk. D'ohComment

So who was Tennant? I remember one of the males being involved with the DJ/radio station and the women I think she was looking after kittens or something and it ended badly. Like I said years ago but I really liked that, emotional viewing.
EDIT: I did a search and found a cap of David and Ken. Yes David did play the Manic depressive who helps out at the Radio station, well there you go.
