yep, and of course we cannot forget the wonderful Chan Tho *giggle* i wanna try to speak to customers like that tomorrow, "chan how can i help you tho?"
People tend to think girls shouldn't be interested in sci fi, I get a lot of that when I spout off about Babylon 5 and Dr Who
Most of my friends are guys purely because they don't mind so much when I talk sci-fi!
My best friend wants to be a pilot and he and I go to airshows when we can because we both love planes, especially the Eurofighter Typhoon. That's what he wants to fly. My other friend is obsessed with Doctor Who and Stargate (I'm working on getting him into Torchwood...)
At least you didn't freak out Ianto from Torchwood...
That is true, but I did kind of scare Beau Bridges two years ago at the Chicago SG1/SGA con when we were in the same elevator (but that's a story for another time) so I know where you're coming from.
lol! well you had a lot of sugar and caffine, it's only natural you'd come off as a giggling fangirl. i didn't have that excuse when i was at the shops yesterday playing with the convayerbelt
and at least you have ppl to talk to about DW, tho i finally got one of my friends watching. but mostly yeh, mentioning anything scifi gets that kinda "ooooook" look from ppl, followed by the usual "oh look at the time gotta go"
haha...sounds like you had fun at work
I get that same reaction from the sci-fi club that I'm part of at school; the prez of the club went so far as to call me 'fan girl number 1' at our first meeting.
I just said, 'pot, kettle, black' and that shut him up. For five seconds but it was a moral victory.
Luckily my other half is a sci fi nut, unfortunatly he's a Trekkie and a BSG fan boy while I'm into Dr Who and 4400 but we do have Babylon 5 and SG-1 in common

Well I only occasionally watch Star Trek if it's on (I think I've only seen Enterprise and The Next Generation) though I've seen the first 2 seasons of BSG. I lvoe Doctor Who but only the new series, and I'm on season 3 of 4400. I've never seen B5.
Oh, she was wonderful, wait until the Sound of Drums
Spoiler:
the tapping is contagious
ah yes. drove my mum mad. but mostly it was the song at the end that broke me. saw it with a friend, and for days that was stuck in our heads. at random points we'd sing
