Get your image, make 2 copies (trying to line them up as best as possible). Do your manipulations to each layer, put a rectangle frame in between them, and crop out the top layer.

I'm sorry, sometimes it's hard for me to explain
No, the pic with him was only placed above the layer with background and with rubber (or black brush on layer mask) I got rid of the original background leaving only Jared. You can still see small remain of it on the right side, near his body, especially hand & head (this yellowish one).sigpic
