I think the trouble with the TFU games is not that they're doing anything wrong per se, but rather that they aren't doing enough. They've kind of been pumped up as a brand new chapter in the EU--and rightly so, they are. But both entries so far have been incredibly short and--with very few exceptions--lacking in in-depth, meaningful content.
Something is definitely wrong when both full games are short enough to be another company's expansion pack or even DLC.
