Star Trek 6: The Undiscovered Country

I saw Star trek 6 this afternoon and have seen it like almost 10 times now and I love the Ending where kirk says at the end of the movie, "Second star to the right and straight on until morning".

What do others think about this movie?

It is actually one of my favorite Trek movies. It is a fast paced adventure that has a real Trek feel to it, unlike Trek 5 IMO. I also thought it was really cool that the Voyager episode "Flashback" tied into this movie and the events of Praxis going boom.

I agree with you, and I really enjoyed the episode on Voyager called Flashback.

Awesome film. A great send-off for the original crew. It's my second favourite (after The Wrath of Khan) Star Trek film. I prefer the Original Cast films to the TNG ones.
"Captain, you almost make me believe in luck."

My third favourite Trek movie- didn't realise it was on this morning.....for some reason was thinking that it was supposed to be The Voyage Home (which I've got on DVD).

It was on space this afternoon. say it from the middle of the movie, where kirk was sent to the mining colony.

Morning for me. I love that they brought back the Sunday Trek movie showings. Can always just stick it on for a few minutes in my spare time and enjoy whatever part is on.

Definitely my one the my favorite Trek movies!, although I am a sucker for a Klingon storyline and boy did we learn a lot about the way the Klingon empire works in this masterpiece. This is one of those Trek movies that makes you feel good about being a human and brings out the best aspects of Rodennberry's vision of the Trek universe. I have probably watched Undiscovered Country more times than any other Trek movie. Good call teal'c.

One of my favorites. There were a few plot points in the grand mystery that I'm still confused about, but they don't bother me too much. I liked the overall parallel to the Cold War and the over all, shall we say, "relaxed" nature of the crew; they've seen it all. The humor was great; it was all "intelligent humor", no cheese.

Loved the battle at the end, especially the music. The "signing off" before the credits was very well done too. A great movie.

I got to download that episode, since I don't have the VGR DVDs and the episodes aren't on iTunes or Unbox.

This one is my number 3, after Wrath of Khan and First Contact. Strong story, good action, moderate amount of humor, GREAT ending.

There is one very funny (think odd funny, not funny funny) moment in this film that ties into Boston Legal's Denny Krane character (played by Shatner). When Kirk dives to save the Federation President from the sniper, he basically introduces himself while the two of them are lying on the ground ..... "Kirk, Enterprise" he utters. So much like Denny Krane walking around the law offices saying "Denny Krane" to everyone who passes him that it just can't be arbitrary.........
