Every time I watch Firefly, I think this is what a prequel to Star Trek: TOS should have been like. I don't mean the details. I mean the raw settings, on the frontier, with run down ships, pioneers, civil wars, interesting characters.

Enterprise was an OK show if you completely ignore the premise and just imagine it as an alternate universe story. But fitting it into the Trek canon is just impossible.

Take the ship, for example. It looks a lot more like a slimmed down and re-painted Galaxy class than a prequel to the Constitution class......

The two parter before the last episode is fantastic and works perfectly on it's own as a series finale.

The final episode of Enterprise was good imo as an episode (minus off a certain crewmember), but not as a series finale.
