The Borg however try to assimilate, not kill, and only kill if you do something which is a threat to them.

=> the borg also destroy those who don't comply

She may have ordered the destruction of the ship, but look at what happened after she found a "cure" for the unimatrix drones. Rather than killing, she reassimilated them. Even when they first met the Enterprise, they still worked on assimilation by cutting parts of the ship to assimilate rather than destroy. The Borg will kill, but it's not their highest priority

i agree, borg really want more borg, ori just want followers.
u resist borg, they try harder to assimilae you but only kill you if last resort.
